Most people wouldn’t admit to being homophobic and say they are ‘cool’ with homosexuality. But it’s one thing to be cool with gay people being on TV and another when they are sitting next to you in a bar (or even allowing them to get married as the recent California same-sex marriage overturn has showcased). ABC News did this experiment for their special segment, What Would You Do?, with undercover actors playing a gay couple, a straight couple and a gay basher in a typical straight sports bar. How would the crowd react to the same affection coming from the heterosexual and homosexual couples and to a staged verbal gay-bashing scenario? See how it goes down in the clip below.
