The Line of Beauty is one of the titles that intrigued me while I was looking for GLBT material to add to our gay themed entertainment section. A 2006 BBC miniseries consisting of three episodes (totaling 3 hours), I finally got to watch it this past week and I give it two big thumbs up. Adapted from a Booker Prize-winning novel by Alan Hollinghurst, it is an emotional saga of love, class, betrayal, politics, aids, and human nature, set in the 1980s.
If you’re looking for something intelligent and sexy at the same time, I highly recommend this title [buy The Line of Beauty DVD].
