Released earlier this year, the book Just Kids [ US | UK ] by Patti Smith is a fulfillment of a promise she gave to legendary photographer and close friend Robert Mapplethorpe before he died… that she would tell their story.

The featured images are by Norman Seeff and Judy Linn. They accompanied an interview with Patti Smith by Christopher Bollen that was published in Interview magazine earlier this year.
