Homotography’s Favorite 2010 Models

With 2010 coming to an end, I’ve picked my favorite models of the year

Clément Chabernaud solidified his position as an editorial and campaign favorite with features for Arena Homme+, Balmain, GQ Style, AnOther Man, Prada, W, Velvet, VMAN, Man About Town, Own, Interview and Fantastic Man. 2010 also saw the sexier side of Clément, which I hope to see more of in 2011. This young French man is the real deal.

I first featured Andrej Pejic in the beginning of June with this beautiful Glass editorial. The young Serbian/Australian model went on to cause a stir in the fashion world when he walked the SS11 runways of John Galliano, Jean Paul Gaultier and Raf Simons. Then, something rare happened. He crossed over into pop culture. He became news. The boy who looks like a girl was subsequently featured in Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris, Tush, Vogue Turkey, Candy and Wonderland. Andrej is set to continue his rise in 2011 with a couple of the coveted ad campaigns already in the bag.

Tristan Knights showed a unique versatility in 2010; from his haunting presence in Dorade and GQ Italia to playful stints in El Pais and 160g. He was also featured in Citizen K, Man About Town, 5, Aquascutum, and Dazed & Confused. And if you need an amplified dose of Tristan like I do, pick up the latest Velvet.

Newcomer Bo Develius charmed everyone with a fresh strong face that landed him in amazing editorials for The Room, Stockholm S/S/A/W, Contributor, Velvet, commons&sense man, Cafe and Tush.

In addition to being a runway favorite, British model Jacob Coupe had a strong editorial and campaign presence in 2010 with features in GQ Italia, 10 Men, Velvet, Prada, The Room, 7th Man, GQ Style UK, Metal, GQ Style Italia, Harper’s Bazaar China, another GQ Italia, Aquascutum, Dazed & Confused, >bbm, FutureClaw, Dazed Japan, Sunspel, Nortwick, Levi’s and Hero.
