V60, the new July/August 2009 ‘Beauty Issue’ of V Magazine features a striking black and white editorial by David Sims. The aptly titled ‘Eight Portraits’ features models Ludwig Persik, Matthew Krause, Iris Strubegger, Hannelore Knuts, Alla Kostromicheva, Irina Kulikova, and Kamila Filipcikova with styling by Joe McKenna and hair by Guido.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt by David Sims in Vman

 

While V Magazine went with 6 vibrant covers for their Summer 2009 swimsuit issue (see here), VMAN 14 opts for a gloomy cover with actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt by David Sims. In the accompanying editorial, Joseph wears pieces from the Prada F/W 09 collection with styling by Nicola Formichetti.  With the contradiction of this editorial and the sunny Bruce Weber underwear greeting cards, this issue of Vman is a must have.
