Photography Spotlight | Walter Pfeiffer

 

 

Born in 1946, Swiss photographer Walter Pfeiffer is an iconic artist whose work stretches from the early 1970s to the pages of recent issues of Vogue Hommes Int’l, Electric Youth!, Butt and i-D. Pfeiffer’s images and style have undoubtedly influenced the work of some of the most celebrated photographers of today, from Juergen Teller to Wolfgang Tillmans and Ryan McGinley. This special post celebrates the talent and passion of this great photographer with a spotlight on some of my favorite images of his.

Francisco Lachowski by Walter Pfeiffer | VHI

 

Emerging Brazilian model Francisco Lachowski is photographed by the legendary Walter Pfeiffer in ‘Chromo Zone,’ a colorful editorial in the new Spring/Summer 2010 issue of Vogue Hommes International with realization by Hannes Hetta. The decadence of ‘Chambre 69’

 

Do you know what goes behind the doors of room number 69? Vogue Hommes International lets us know in the editorial “Chambre 69” in their Spring/Summer 2009 issue. 

 

 

The photography is by Walter Pfeiffer and realization by Beat Bolliger. The melancholic model is Sam Webb. He doesn’t look happy with all the decadent pleasures around him. Maybe he needs someone to share it with???
