Chicago-based TV producer and photographer Colin Davis shares with Homotography a new shoot inspired by Minotaur, a Greek myth creature with the body of a man and the head of a bull.
“I have always been a fan of rear screen projection and wanted to utilize that for the backdrop,” Colin explained to us of the shoot’s striking background image by Erin Egeberg. “I like the fact that it is clearly "fake" but photoreal at the same time, and adds a physicality to the photograph that typical greenscreen doesn’t do.”
Colin shares with us that he had the bull head custom made after he failed to find one of decent quality. The featured models are personal friends of the photographer, with lighting technical support by Dennis Remer.
