The team of photographer Camilla Åkrans and model Sean O’Pry make their second appearance in Homotography’s ‘Best of 2008’ special section. Needless to say, I am a huge fan of Camilla’s photography style, and there is something about Sean that makes him the perfect fit for it.

There is only one boy for Homotography right now, and that is our current model of the month, Reid Prebenda. And in the October 2008 issue of GQ Italia, Reid shared the editorial ‘Un Uomo, Una Donna’ (One Boy, One Girl) by Mariano Vivanco with one girl, model Katrin Thormann. Vivanco captures Reid’s beauty exquisitely, the editorial just had to be added to our Best of 2008 special section.

I just came upon this vivid editorial by Camilla Akrans featuring Sean Opry from the Spring-Summer 2008 issue of Numéro Homme (issue #15) and I had to include it in our Best of 2008 section. I’ve been falling in love with Camilla’s color style and the fact that it features Sean makes it a double yummy.

The fun Calibre Spring Summer ad campaign by Terry Richardson featuring a playful Chad White certainly deserves to be an entry in our Best of 2008 special section. It is sexy & eye-catching without being edgy or controversial.

I will be wrapping up the Best of 2008 feature soon (maybe after a couple of weeks, so if I missed any noteworthy 2008 photoshoot, send me a tip and I will try to post it). In the mean time, I have to feature this fun editorial by homotographer Joe Lally which was shot for Contributing Editor. Sometimes fun & vibrant colors can be all you need when you have models & a photographer like these.
The models are Doug Porter, Steve Gold, Cory Bond, Simon Tham, Tyler Lough, Manuel Taxeria, Tyler Kenyon, and Brian Shimansky. They are all with Major Models.
The year 2008 further cemented Chad White’s reputation as one of the top male models right now. The guy is diverse and up for anything, which is always good when you shoot with Steven Klein. But it is his ‘Sublime’ photoshoot with Ruven Afanador that mark’s White’s debut in Homotography’s Best of 2008 special feature.
The obvious eye-catching shot is that of Chad in lace feminine-looking underwear, but do not let that visual shock take away from brilliant photography of Afanador. My favorite is the neat-freak shot with Chad at a table with trimming and shaving tools. And who wouldn’t like a boyfriend that irons? Especially if he does it in the nude and has a body like Chad’s…
