The Sitter, Not The Artist by Andrea Vecchiato

Andrea Vecchiato reverses the aforementioned Wilde quote for the name of his new exhibit, The Sitter, Not The Artist. Presented at London’s The Gallery Soho between October 25 and November 2, the exhibit features 30 original nude portraits that Andrea took of celebrities and a few models. The profits from the print sales will be donated to the National Autistic Society.

Six Scents, a Fragrant Fashionable Approach to Charity

Nude London Tech Calendar 2010

 

Twenty four (12 males, 12 females) of London’s top geeks dropped it all for Nude London Tech Calendar 2010 which raises funds for Take Heart India. The charity sponsors IT projects that aim to help blind and disabled students in India.

 

 

The charitably naked geeks include Malcolm Scovil, Fabio de Bernadi, the guys of Huddle, Sam Mathews, Joe Stephniewski, and Mike Butcher. See more and a making-of video after the jump.

Judgment Day by Troy Dunham & Jeff Eason

 

Troy Dunham shares with Homotography this epic art piece, “Judgment Day,” that he created with photographer Jeff Eason [Wilsonmodels]. A modern day re-interpretation of the classic Paul Rubens painting "The Last Judgment," he explains that the piece was created specifically for OUTAuction NYC 2009, the GLAAD Art Auction.

Champions by Anderson & Low


Champions is a charitable project of naked black & white portraits by Anderson & Low that benefits the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The project features stars such as Thierry Henry, Venus Williams, Matt Dawson, and Billie Jean King taking it all off to raise awareness of the global issue of HIV/AIDS.



The press release explains, “Transcending cultural and socio-economic boundaries the universal appeal of these athletes made them the ideal subjects for this project. Their nudity in the portraits is symbolic, illustrating both their physical beauty and prowess alongside their vulnerability and humanity.”



Images from the project are displayed at the National Portrait Gallery in London until 8th March 2009 with free admission. A book containing 138 images from the project has recently been released as well. You can buy the book here.
