HomoFashion :: The Rad Hourani Zipper Pants Are Awesome

Everyone is raving about the new Rad by Rad Hourani collection, and I can see why in these images that were taken by Betty for MDC. My favorite piece is the male pants with the three zippers at the knee. If you’ve been hesitant about embracing the shredded look, this is a good compromise. You can open or close the zipper as you like.

Above we have Michael Vontsolos rocking the pants while chatting with the fierce Abiah Hostvedt ( both with Red). And below is Rad Hourani  himself wearing all black in the middle of his models. See more at MDC.

HomoFashion WTF :: Givenchy F/W 2009 Glittery Boots

Things are starting to look all shiny and bright for men. First we saw extreme rainbow colors in menswear, then we had a glittery Ash Stymest on the new cover of Attitude magazine. New statistics by Jockey are also showing that men are choosing baby pink underwear in the past three months to fight the recession blues.

But are you bold enough to not only brighten what’s hidden under your pants, but to wear these discotastic over-the-knee boots from Givenchy Fall/Winter 2009 in public? Personally, I am torn between a WTF!? and a hell yeah!. Would you?

Ernestas Juodis Gets Into The Groove For Zach Burns

I received these preview images from photographer Zach Burns of an editorial he is working on. “Into The Groove” is inspired by a Madonna t-shirt he found in London’s Brick Lane, which is worn here by the beautiful Ernestas Juodis [Evolution Management].  Ernestas is back in action after a short break. Welcome back!

These are preview images of what’s to come. I think he’s on the right track for a very sensual and fun editorial. Now, if Zack could shoot a complementary short video of Ernestas dancing in this outfit to Madonna’s ‘Into The Groove’, that would be fantastic!

Zack Burns also recently shot Ernestas Juodis for the March 2009 cover of QX Mag Issue no. 730.  This is Burns’ first official cover. Congratulations and we hope to see many more in the future.

Homofashion :: Mustache Mania

Why bother growing your own mustache when you can have an instant trimmed and fabulous one with the Mustache Mask by American Apparel? Perfect for the first impression when you go on a blind date :)

But how about when you are inside the house? Do not worry, you can still look badass when you look at yourself with The Mr. or Thug Life mirrors by Julie Ruiz.

Homofashion WTF: Is Disheveled Style Nice?

Even though I am a casual style kind of guy, I have to say WTF at the new Nice Collective Men's Fall 2009 show during New York Fashion Week. I enjoy casual, laid-back and somewhat-disheveled style, but this looks like someone rolling off the bed and straight to the street in their long john!

I just came upon this cheeky t-shirt design entitled “Eat Me Out Sailor” from Smut Clothing (NSFW content) and I had to share it with you. It sells for £25 and comes in black, red, teal & fuchsia.

Smut Clothing recently collaborated with the young duo Exterface from Paris, and below are the images from that collaboration.

Homofashion ♥ Calvin Klein Fall 09 Jackets

Calvin Klein is known for not only coming up with new designs, but for experimenting with new fabrics and processes. The Calvin Klein Menswear Fall 2009 runway show at New York Fashion Week showcased one of these fashion-forward designs, boxy-looking jackets that are made like bike seats.

“It’s a new technique. It’s a technique they use in one place in Italy not for clothes, but to do seats for bikes,” explains designer Italo Zucchelli.  “I saw it and thought it was very interesting and I wanted to apply it to my clothes. It’s foam inside of it. And I bonded the foam with fabric — wool — and used a heat-molding process to create patterns and those indented stripes. It was a very nice way to express modernism.”

And who is the target customer? Zucchelli thinks it is perfect for “guys in cities who are using the regular puffy jacket. It’s very sleek. It looks modern. It looks good. It’s for a younger guy that wants to be different.”

Homofashion: Rag & Bone Fall 2009 Pants

I’m loving these pants at the Rag & Bone Fall 2009 show in New York Fashion Week.

Here is a fun backstage video at this Rag & Bone FW 09 show by JD Ferguson with male models playing games. Lenz is so damn adorable and open-minded.

JD also took these behind-the-scenes shots, check out his blog for more goodies.

Backstage Photos of Paris Men Shows

If you enjoyed the Dolce & Gabbana Milan show backstage photos, then you will love those backstage photos from a number of the Paris Fall/Winter 2009 fashion shows. Models.com hired Eric Sposito to capture those images from all the different Paris shows (Dior Homme, Kenzo, John Galliano, Dunhill, Paul Smith, Ungaro, Thierry Mugler & more). I give you a sample of those cool images, but you have to visit Models.com for the awesome complete archive.

Homofashion WTF: Romain Kremer Fall 2009

If I said WTF once about the eccentric D&G jacket, I have to say WTF x 10 about the new men’s Fall 2009 collection by French designer Romain Kremer. I guess the positive thing about it is that guys can still flaunt their hard-earned body during the fall and winter. But really, WTF?!

And if you’re wondering if this is a phase. No, it is not. Check out Kremer’s recent Spring 2009 collection (which was styled by the fantastic Nicola Formichetti) to see that this is how the man really designs :)

Homofashion: Gareth Pugh Sci-Fi Warrior Man

Divas like Beyonce have been sporting the creations of 27 year-old Gareth Pugh. And now we men can do that too with the debut of his first-ever menswear collection in Paris. That is, if you fancy looking like a post-apocalyptic character from a sci-fi movie… (which I do). See a video of the Fall 2009 collection action below.
