Homotography’s Top 5 of May 2012
With over 2 Million pageviews for the sixth consecutive month, Homotography's most popular stories in May 2012 include a male pregnancy editorial by Steven Klein, Lady Gaga's dancer Mark Kanemura busting some moves and getting wet, self-portraits of photographer Jeff Hahn with his lover for the Marriage Equality issue of The Block magazine, Dan Murphy in a sensual shoot by Tony Duran, and Arthur Keller stripping down for a Pin-Up story by Torian Lewin. Best of 2008: Bruce Weber’s Summer Camp
Only a legendary photographer like Bruce Weber would have not only one or two, but three entries in our Best of 2008 special homotography feature. Weber’s third appearance is an editorial called “Summer Camp” that was featured in the July 2008 issue of W Magazine. The editorial, styled by Alex White, was a celebration of up and coming designers such as Gareth Pugh, Alexander Wang, Daniel Fumaz and Samuel François from Avalon Vega, Louise Goldin and more.
For ‘Summer Camp,’ Bruce Weber captured models and designers hanging out in a relaxed and playful summer camp setting. The female models were Kate Moss, Daria Werbowy, Sasha Pivovarova and Lara Stone, while male models included Frederick Valentin, Doug Porter, Chad Pitschka, Nick Soloman, Michael Leiva, Dan Murphy, Paul Bester and Andy Ashton.
