Versace SS13 Campaign by Mert & Marcus

Donatella Versace says of the new Versace Spring/Summer 2013 ad campaign, "To have three glamorous and iconic women like Kate, Daria and Joan in one campaign is not an easy feat. Mert and Marcus really outdid themselves, each image is composed like a work of art." The campaign features models Kate Moss, Daria Werbowy, Joan Smalls, Edward Wilding, Kacey Carrig and Veit Couturier, photographed in London by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot and styled by Melanie Ward (women) and David Bradshaw (men) with art direction by Giovanni Bianco.

Salvatore Ferragamo SS11 by Mikael Jansson

 

 

Clément Chabernaud and Daria Werbowy star in the Salvatore Ferragamo Spring/Summer 2011 ad campaign. Inspired by 1969 French film "La Piscine" starring Alain Delon, the poolside campaign was shot by Mikael Jansson on location in Ibiza. More after the jump, including the making of video.

A Whole Lotta Love Covers by Mert & Marcus

 

They began their tease in December with a Lara Stone preview cover. Then over the past week, Love magazine started unveiling a new cover for the third issue day by day. Now we have eight naked top models photographed by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott in the same Helmut Newton-inspired pose. Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Natalia Vodianova, Lara Stone, Daria Werbowy, Amber Valletta, Janeil Williams, and Kristen McMenamy.  What’s not to love?

Dsquared2 SS10 Ad Campaign by Mert & Marcus

 

I’ve been waiting for Dsquared2 to fully release their Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign, and finally here it is in all its glory. Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott are the masters of summer lounging themes (see their new Gucci ads), and they stay true to the Canadian label’s young and fresh spirit. The featured models are Daria Werbowy, Arthur Sales, Kyle Ledeboer, and André Bentzer.

Matthew Williamson For H&M Summer 09 Commercial

 

This is hands down my favorite commercial for a long long time. It’s for the Matthew Williamson For H&M Summer 2009 capsule collection and uses the song “We Need a Change”

 

 

The spot was directed by Johan Renck on location in Rio de Janeiro with models Daria Werbowy and Elsa Hosk. Tim Maurice Jones was director of photography.

Also, here’s a video of him talking about the second part of the collection with behind the scenes shots of Daria during the shooting of the print campaign (thanks to comment below for the tip).

Beach-House Chilling with Pepe Jeans London SS09

 

Here is the new  Spring / Summer 2009 ad campaign for Pepe Jeans London by Steven Meisel with a theme of a group of friends lounging and relaxing in a beach house.

 

 

The campaign features models Danny Schwarz, Jamie Strachan, Daria Werbowy, Anna Jagodzinska, and Boyd Holbrook.

 

 

Danny Schwarz has been coming up a lot on my radar. When it comes to S/S 09, he’s already been featured here in the new D&G and the controversial CK Jeans campaigns. I will be keeping an eye on this stud! Danny boy is signed with Premier Model Management London and VNY Model Management New York.

 

 

While I loved Julien Quévenne in the Pepe Jeans S/S 09 ads, I prefer this one because it has more of a story and frankly seeing only Julien in either all denim or black pieces against a white background got a bit boring after the 10th image...

Best of 2008: Bruce Weber’s Summer Camp

Only a legendary photographer like Bruce Weber would have not only one or two, but three entries in our Best of 2008 special homotography feature. Weber’s third appearance is an editorial called “Summer Camp” that was featured in the July 2008 issue of W Magazine. The editorial, styled by Alex White, was a celebration of up and coming designers such as Gareth Pugh, Alexander Wang, Daniel Fumaz and Samuel François from Avalon Vega, Louise Goldin and more.

For ‘Summer Camp,’ Bruce Weber captured models and designers hanging out in a relaxed and playful summer camp setting. The female models were Kate Moss, Daria Werbowy, Sasha Pivovarova and Lara Stone, while male models included Frederick Valentin, Doug Porter, Chad Pitschka, Nick Soloman, Michael Leiva, Dan Murphy, Paul Bester and Andy Ashton.
