With an eye-catching main Vogue Italia editorial each month, Steven Meisel makes others photographers seem safe and lazy. ‘Wild is The Wind,’ from the June 2010 issue, stars Eva Herzigova, Cole Mohr, Yuri Pleskun, Berthold Rothas, Daniel Sweeney, Will Lewis & Tanga Moreau. The gang was made up by Pat McGrath and styled by Marie-Amélie Sauvé.

Performance by Steven Meisel in Vogue Italia

 

Let me start by saying that I personally think ‘Performance,’ the main editorial of the September 2009 issue of Vogue Italia, is the most exciting and refreshing editorial I have come across in a long time. I’ve been patiently waiting for the story to be available at the official Vogue Italia site, because I did not want to ruin such a masterpiece with the somewhat poor-quality scans that were circulating. But now the wait is over, sit back and enjoy the performance. Thank you Steven Meisel!

 

 

Performance stars models Ash Stymest, Sasha Pivovarova, Simon Nessman, Mikus Lasmanis, Coco Rocha, Max Rogers, Will Lewis, Jamie Bochert, Viktoriya Sosonkina,  Christian Brylle, Anna Jagodzinska, Sessilee Lopez, and Meghan Collison. The legendary Pat McGrath did the makeup and the hair was by Julien d'Ys. Karl Templer styled the performance.

WTF :: Diesel Fall Winter 2009-2010 Ad Campaign

 

It’s good to know that even though they ditched the kinky feet worship, Diesel ads are still pretty out there. You might remember our first look at their suggestive Twink vs. Bear Billboard, and we are happy to find out that the rest of the Fall/Winter 2009-2010 ads is just as cryptic and conceptual. I absolutely love the spirit of this campaign which was photographed by Jason Nocito.

Diesel unveiled the new ads for their Intimate underwear line by photographer Jason Nocito. I have always loved the Diesel Intimate ads (refresh your memory), they are both sexy and playful. Here’s the new ads with British top model Sam Way.

We Are One with CK One

 

On January 20, 2009 something very big happened. Yeah, it was the inauguration of Barack Obama as the first black president of the united states, but that’s not what I’m talking about. That day marked the re-launch of one of the most iconic fragrances of our generation: CK One by Calvin Klein.  This includes a new commercial directed by Francis Lawrence, a new print ad campaign by photographer Steven Meisel, and even a free song download by British musician Jamie Burke. You can see them all below.

 

 

Mr. Klein did not spare the expense. The campaign features a whopping total of  27 models captured by Steven Meisel.

 

 

The featured models are Allen Tsai, Anna Jagodzinska, August Templer, Cameron Russell, Caroline Ribeiro, Christina Kruse, Coco Rocha, Dennis, Gail O'Neill, Guinevere van Seenus, Guisela Rhein, Heidi Mount, Jamie Burke, Jamie Strachan, Jessica Miller, Johnny Zander, Joe Darcy, Kevin Flamme, Kirsten Owen, Linnea Russell, Liu Wen, Romulo Pires, Sacha Hanssens, Sessilee Lopez, Slater Davis, Travone Hill, and Will Lewis.
